Although Charlie does not automatically allow for carryover leave to have an expiration date, it is possible to track this using data held in Charlie. We suggest these steps:

  1. In advance of the expiry date, use your carryover report report to check which team members carried over part of their allowance from the previous year

  2. Look at your time off overview report (the days used/days taken this year column) to identify which employees have already used their carry over days and those who have not. We'd suggest doing so in advance so you can have a conversation with those team members about using their leave before it expires

  3. For those team members whose leave has expired, use a manual leave adjustment to remove this.
