Have you received a notification altering you to overlapping leave when trying to book holiday?

Head over to your time tab and scroll through your pending or approved leave requests to see if there is any holiday already booked on the selected date.

On Charlie, team members can only be on one type of leave at a time meaning you can't have request a sick day if you are already scheduled to work from home for example.

As an example, imagine you have a team member who is set as working from home from 1st May - 1 June 2020. However that person is sick from the 20th - 24th of May.

You would need to edit the leave types so there is no overlap.

You will need to create 3 leave periods: [Work from home before sickness][Sickness][Work from home after sickness].

To reflect this in Charlie:

  1. Go to the 'Time' section of that person's profile.

  2. Find their existing leave booking.

  3. Select the edit icon and change the furlough leave booking end date to the 19th May. This means this booking will be from the 1st - 19th April.

  4. Create a new sick leave booking for that person from the 20th -24th May 2020.

  5. Create another furlough leave booking from the 25th- 1st June 2020.

This way, leave and sickness records of team members will be accurate on Charlie.
