How to create a Talent Pool:
Note: The Account Owner, Admins & Users can create a Talent Pool in Recruit, Reviewers cannot complete this action. Users will only be able to see candidates they have access to, so their view of a talent pool may differ to an admin's view.
Head to the Candidate option on the left-hand side, and you should see a sidebar titled Talent Pools with the option to create one:
2. Click the button to Create Pool and you will see a pop-up asking you to complete the following fields:
Talent Pool name - this is a mandatory field that will act as the title of this talent pool. You could choose something like 'Customer Facing Candidates' or 'Marketing Assistants' - something that will easily define the group of candidates you're adding.
Colour - each talent pool you make will have a different colour associated with it, to make it easy to spot which candidate appears in which talent pool.
Description or Keyword - here, you can choose to either add a job description that summarises that skills/experience you're looking for, or, you can choose to add keywords. Charlie will use this information to match score each added candidate, if you select for us to do so.
Make Private - by default, this box will be ticked. This means only the talent pool creator, admins and the account owner will have visibility of it. If you untick this box (making it public), colleague with User permissions will be able to see this too.
Match Score Threshold - by default, this box will be ticked. This works in a similar way to the match score on jobs - candidates CV against the job advert/skills. In talent pools, this will show as an overall score out of 100%. Here we use our AI match technology to pull new candidates into your Talent Pool
who are above your threshold match score, enabling you to build out a
skilled pool of candidates over time. To enable, simply tick the box and
choose your threshold minimum match score. If you would like to turn this off, simply untick this option.
Once you're happy with the information you've added, click to Create, and you will see your talent pool in the list:
Now, you can start adding candidates to it!
Adding candidates to a Talent Pool:
To add one candidate to a talent pool, simply left click on the 6 dots on the left of the candidate's name and you will be able to drag and drop the candidate into your chosen talent pool:
Alternatively, you can click the 3 dots on the far right of their details and choose to Add to Talent Pool.
To add multiple candidates to a talent pool, tick the boxes on the left hand side of their details, and click the button to add to talent pool (you will then be asked to chose which one you'd like to add them to):
Once added, it is really easy to see which talent pools candidates belong to, as each will have the colour coded title against their names (this is also visible directly in their profile):
To see all the candidates that appear in one talent pool, simply click the one in question and this will be highlighted for you:
Editing/Deleting a Talent Pool:
Once you've created a talent pool, you can edit any of your choices/description by clicking the 3 dots in the top right corner of that talent pool, and choosing the option to Edit. Be sure to save your changes!
If you no longer require one of the talent pools you've made, simply click the 3 dots in the top right corner of that talent pool, and choose to Delete. You will be asked to confirm that you're happy with this, just to make sure this isn't done in error.
Please note, this will not delete your candidates from Recruit, it will only delete the talent pool they are grouped in.
Managing your candidates through the Talent Pool:
If you click a talent pool, you will be shown all candidates that appear in that collection. From here, you can bulk select candidates (by ticking the box on the left of their names) and then perform actions like sending an email. Please note, email templates linked to a job (like scheduling an interview) won't be available here, as this is linked to a specific job, not a talent pool.
