Note: Only Super Admins can manage integrations in CharlieHR.
On the Company>Integrations landing page, you will see a list of systems that CharlieHR integrates with, and these are split into 2 sections:
Integrations made for seamless workflows - we have built these integrations for you, so API keys are not needed. For guidance on how to integrate the systems listed here, head to this Help Centre page.
Send your CharlieHR data to the places you need it most - these integrations require API keys. and the below guidance will walk you through how it works.
Generating API keys
By clicking on the relevant platform's tile, you will be taken to the API Keys page and prompted to use API V1:
Click the tile of the system in question
Click the purple 'API Keys' button
Tick the box to confirm you're ready to save your keys
Generate the Keys - you will be provided with a Client ID and a Client Secret
Copy the Client ID and the Client Secret and store them somewhere safe - as stated, we don't store these in Charlie for you so if they are not saved externally you will not have access to them:
Once you have the keys, head over to the other application. You will need to follow their instructions and provide the Client ID and the Client Secret when they ask for it. Please keep in mind that for any issues with the integration you will need to contact their support.
Integrating Charlie with unlisted platforms
We know you may want to integrate Charlie with a platform you don't see on this page, or maybe with your own system. This can be done by using the V3 API Key option at the bottom of the API Keys page.
V1 - this option should be used to integrate with the systems listed on our API Keys page, or to integrate with one of our third-party providers, like Merge (as an example). You will be prompted to use this option when you click through to this page after selecting the platform you'd like to integrate with.
V3 - this option should be used to integrate with systems that are not listed on our API Keys page, including your own. This option includes detailed documentation regarding all endpoints and customisations that can be made.
