Requesting a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR)

A guide on how you can request a DSAR

Written by Alexandros Tofarides

Any user who has had a profile on Charlie will have a set of data stored in our database. This data is managed by your (current or previous) employer, as the data controller. They are in control of how your data is managed and for how long it is held.

You have the ability to request for your data to be deleted by your (current or previous) employer and by extension deleted from the Charlie database. Before requesting deletion, you might want to keep a copy of the data that your employer held.

Please note: Deletion requests only apply and can only be actioned for profiles that have been archived and are no longer active.

Requesting a DSAR:

To request a DSAR please reach out to your employer (current or previous), they can then get in touch with our support team via live chat or at help@charliehr.com.

Our team will process this request which will trigger an email to be received either by the Super Admin requesting this on your behalf, or it will be sent to your email as seen on Charlie (only applicable if your account is still active).

Please not that only requests submitted by a Super Admin can be processed.

Once the request is processed, an email notification will be sent, with a link to download your data. The link is valid for 7 days only, and after that period the file will be deleted.

For any follow up questions please reach out to our support team, either via live chat or via email at help@charliehr.com
