How to to turn 2FA on for your Charlie Account

Note: Charlie users can enable 2FA for their profiles only regardless of permissions, while Super Admins will have the ability to disable this for any user.

It's not possible to require 2FA to be enabled company wide, however admins and super admins are able to pull a security report that will show who has enabled 2FA on their account. This security report can be found in the report tab under the company section.


Ready for an extra level of protection on your Charlie account? You can enable 2FA from within your Charlie account. Make sure you have your phone handy, you will need to download an authenticator app to finish the set up.

To turn on 2 Factor Authentication:

  1. Head to your profile.

  2. Select Settings from the tab menu in the header.

  3. In the 'Two Factor Authentication' section, select 'Make my account more secure'.

  4. Read the given steps and follow the instructions to download the appropriate app and how to scan the QR code to set up your code on your app.

  5. If you're happy, select 'ok, turn two step on'.

  6. You will then need to scan the QR code with your phone to finish the set up in your authenticator app

All done!


If you have lost your phone or are having issues with your authenticator app, you will need to ask a super admin on your company account to disable your 2FA on your behalf.

Note: The Charlie team will not do this on your behalf, only a Super Admin can action this.

Once a super admin has disabled your 2FA, you will receive an email alerting you to this change. You can then log into Charlie as normal with your email and password.

Disabling 2FA

The profile owner or a Super Admin can disable 2FA from a profile. To do this:

  1. Navigate to the profile

  2. Then settings

  3. Simply scroll to the security section and toggle 2FA off:
